For more than 30 years, Eureka Animal Clinic has proudly served our community with compassionate, reliable, and high-quality veterinary care.
Since opening our doors, our mission has been to treat every pet like family while providing the trustworthy medical expertise pet owners deserve. As we continue to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our community, we are excited to announce two major advancements coming in 2026.
We will be expanding into a full Urgent Care facility, offering extended hours, same-day appointments, and immediate attention for pets experiencing urgent — but not life-threatening — medical needs. Our goal is to fill the gap between general practice and emergency hospitals.
A modern approach that combines traditional veterinary care with holistic and complementary therapies, such as acupuncture, laser therapy, mobility and pain-management treatments, and nutritional support — to treat the whole pet: mind, body, and well-being.

Meet our team
Dr. Ana Vega was born in Colombia and raised in Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduate studies in Animal Science at the University of Puerto Rico and earned her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University. Since graduating, she has worked as an emergency veterinarian, where she is passionate about caring for animals during their most critical moments. She is a proud mother of two—a boy and a girl—and shares her home with two dogs and two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and traveling the world with her family.
Dr. Zubizarreta is dedicated to providing compassionate, thorough veterinary care for pets of all ages. She takes the time to educate pet owners, focusing on preventive care, clear communication, and long-term pet wellness.
Dr. Huertas earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2013 and worked as a veterinary nurse until receiving her ECFVG certificate. She expanded her knowledge with a rotating internship at BluePearl Pet Hospital (emergency and specialty) and has worked in urgent care, general medicine and emergency hospitals. She now focuses on integrative medicine, combining traditional knowledge with modern science through acupuncture, massage, physical therapy and other modalities to give pets and their families an excellent quality of life.
Thaily is a caring and detail-oriented member of our clinical team, known for making pets and their owners feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. She is passionate about animal care and supports our doctors by ensuring every visit runs smoothly and efficiently.
